Alert reader Dat with DC Connections, sent me a link to this very cool local directory – hotfrog.com – This is a free directory and it has the best system for finding categories I’ve seen. Additionally, it lets you add products which would increase your exposure and is also free.

MSN has changed it’s name to Bing, and is doing a ton of advertising. It’s probably a good time to add your free local listing to their directory. Click here to get started.

OregonLive.com has a business directory and you can add a business listing in there for free. Click here to get started.

Here’s another place where you can post a business listing. One of the best parts of this site is that it allows you to tag your business listing with related keywords. This should be of great help to the search engines.

I’ve found another place to post your business listing for free. PDXstump is a very unique little directory. The format they use, while a little hard to navigate, is very search engine friendly. I would highly recommend posting your business listing there.

Here’s another site where you can put up a business listing for free. This link is for the Beaverton Version, but I’m sure you could hunt around on the site and find it for any major city.

YellowPages.com – You can get a free listing. You will get a call from a sales person when you sign up for this.

About us is a unique site that makes it easy to get another link to your website. You just look up a domain name in there, and if it’s not already listed in the directory it will add it. From there you can add details after creating an account.
